Recently, I had the chance to photograph Kristen and Jake’s engagement session in Boston’s North End, and it was one of those shoots that just felt easy from start to finish.

The North End is one of my favorite neighborhoods in the city, especially when the leaves start to change. Between the historic brick buildings, hidden side streets, and the energy of the neighborhood, there was no shortage of great spots to explore. We spent the afternoon walking around, finding pockets of good light, and letting the city do what it does best: provide an incredible backdrop.

One of the things I enjoyed most was getting to reconnect with Kristen, a former colleague. It’s always fun catching up with people after a few years, but it’s even better when you get to celebrate such an exciting milestone in their lives. Kristen and Jake were so natural together that documenting their connection felt effortless.

The combination of a beautiful fall day, one of Boston’s most iconic neighborhoods, and a genuinely fun couple made this session one to remember. I’m so grateful Kristen and Jake trusted me to capture this special season of their lives, and I couldn’t be happier for them as they get ready for everything that’s ahead. ❤️
