Maternity photoshoots are a fantastic way to record a fleeting and magical moment in time when a new life is about to enter the world.

I had the pleasure of photographing Janah and Mike, soon-to-be parents, at Raynes Farm in Exeter, NH earlier this month. I first met this great couple when I photographed their engagement a few years ago (also at Raynes Farm!) and had the pleasure of capturing their Dell-Lea wedding two summers ago!.

In mid-July, Janah will give birth to a baby girl named Alexandra, and she will have all the support she needs from her husband Mike, who is an awesome guy!

The images turned out beautifully thanks to this duo and some beautiful golden light. For several of the photos, I used an off-camera softbox to provide a touch of dramatic, directional light to the portraits.

I wish Janah, Mike, and Alexandra the best of luck in the future, and wish them nothing but the best as they enter this new and exciting chapter in their lives!
