NH Wedding and Portrait photographer
I’m Mike Sears, the owner and photographer behind Mike Sears Photography, a New Hampshire wedding and portrait photographer. As a NH Wedding Photographer, I consider it an honor to have so many good people welcome me into their lives to share their wedding day. I just want to walk into every wedding with the viewpoint of a friend that has been welcomed to the gathering and do my very best to photograph the incredibly special moments taking place there.
I grew up in Amesbury, MA but call Exeter, NH home now. It’s a great little town!
I live in Exeter with my wife (Paula) and daughter (Abigail). I am outnumbered for sure. haha!
I enjoy reading, documentaries, nature, New England, fly fishing, and bookstores.
I shoot some architecture every year as well (pequodstudio).
I love the smell of a campfire.
I eat everything - I am not picky in the least.
I love photographing weddings. It’s such a mixture of photographic genres all compressed into one day. It never gets old.
I like cats.
I enjoy learning something new every day.
I was an English Literature major and still love reading (I basically majored in a very relaxing hobby - haha!). Some of my faves:
A Prayer for Owen Meany, John Irving
The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle, Haruki Murakami
The Secret History, Donna Tartt
Angle of Repose, Wallace Stegner
Middlesex, Jeffrey Eugenides
The Stars My Destination, Alfred Bester
The Lake of Dead Languages, Carol Goodman
The Kingdom, Jo Nesbo
These Silent Woods, Kimi Cunningham Grant
The Splendid and The Vile, Erik Larson
A Little Life, Hanya Yanagihara
Empire of Pain, Patrick Radden Keefe
Never Let Me Go, Kazuo Ishiguro
I love quaint New England Inns.
I am addicted to honesty.
